Created for people with free spirit, who are fun and emotional, for those who believe that changes are possible through our actions and spreading them to others.
OUR MANIFEST
A different point of View. The materials we use are eco-friendly. We express ourselves and have fun through our clothes but while taking care of the planet. “If you change the way you see things, things change”
Produce ethically. We believe in Slow fashion made in right labour conditions. Our jewelry is created in alliance with cooperatives that recycle plastic and cut it into pieces with our designs (we also do it in our workshop). The scarves are made by local women-owned enterprises, and the hats are hand-knitted by independent weavers.
Create opportunities. We with artisan goldsmiths who create the metal fittings for the jewelry, in alpaca and brass. Also with, a recycling cooperative, women owned enterprises and independent weavers.
Paradigm shift. We seek to fight the bad use of materials and resources, we promote a sustainable way of life and our purpose is to banish the belief that what is recycled/reused is not aesthetic. Our design process is zero waste, we do not generate material waste because the remains are recycled again. Recycling plastic requires only one tenth of the energy needed to create new plastic from virgin raw materials.

THIS IS HOW OUR STORY WITH THE PLANET STARTED...
ABOUT US
CHIARAMO was born in 2019, as a traditional jewelry brand, but almost instantly, after an university project, we began our sustainable path. We are a young sustainable company from Uruguay.
At the end of 2019 we began to explore sustainability by creating jewelry with waste from the leather industry. We deepened the investigation with nylon, which ended in a new way of applying the plastic material to a product that did not exist in the local market. Upcycling it and giving it a new value.
When we launched the first product of this plastic collection, the company took a turn and this material became the only one used. In mid-2020 we expanded our product line creating necklaces, rings, bracelets with recycled nylon.
In 2021 we add the collection of jewelry made with HDPE recycled plastic, we always continue to investigating how to add more materials that are discarded to our collections, and always keeping up with new biodegradable/sustainable materials.
In2022 We created a line of printed scarves. Designed, printed and sewn by Uruguayan hands in a fair work environment.
